Practice philosophy

In the middle of North America, there is a quiet but radical ecosystem: the tallgrass prairie. Expansive horizons that are brimming with biodiversity, sustained by a network of life underground.

The roots of a single prairie plant can reach fifteen feet deep, enduring through wind, storm, and fire, returning year after year.

The name carries that knowledge, and a way of seeing. Perennial: what endures. Views: the open horizon, but also a perspective.

A conviction about how an identity should be built and artifacts should be made.

Design with depth and direction.

Ways to work together

Deliverables

Identity

Align

For the brand that has outgrown its first form or always sensed something wasn’t quite right: a refinement of its visual expression. This is careful and considered identity work that observes what already exists and clarifies what endures.

Visual identity work may include logo refinement, color calibration, typographic relationships, visual identity guidelines, and applications à la carte.

Artifact

Craft

Books, publications, invitations, menus, stationery, websites, and other focused projects.

For a particular moment, occasion, or body of work. A self published artist book. A menu for an evening worth remembering. A website built to showcase services or objects. One thing, made with care.

Stewardship

Sustain

For in-house communication and creative teams who need design support. Senior-level care and craft, available month to month.

Print and digital communication materials, including reports, briefs, fact sheets, newsletters, social posts, and more.
